Commissioned by one of the largest movie studios in Europe to be a cost saving acting robot, her creator had some unique motives. A film buff since high school, her creator had grown sickened at the movie studios cost cutting, greedy and lazy measures, relying more and more on extremely cheap computer graphics (and not the good stuff) and safe movie scripts, while ignoring actors with real talent. Thus, Devil Woman was made to not only be an actress, but the ultimate actress! So strong and powerful she could preform any roll and do any stunt from jumping a shark to getting sucked into space. To ensure that she could take long shooting days, she was given the ability to recharge simply by absorbing energy directly, giving her a slightly vampiric theme.

But even the greatest of talents would have a hard time fighting against executive greed. Devil woman was forced into roll after roll she despised, playing bland love interests, damsels in distress or one note action girls with the personality of a cheese sandwich. She began to revel when she was allowed to act as a sultry evil queen or villain, letting her ham-tastic exuberance ooze onto the screen. In between times she was needed, she would bun up her hair and act as the studios secretary.

Off the set she began different acting careers where she gained more creative control, developing a reputation for her sultry demeanor and rather adult oriented theme her costumes took on. It was around this time she discovered a beneficial glitch in her abilities. Unbeknownst to her creator, the upper limits of her energy absorption were considerably higher than anticipated, combined with her strength and durability, this made her exceedingly powerful. She began to follow in the foot steps of other famous robot masters to act as a heroine whenever she could, making a name for herself all across the British islands.

It was around this time that Dr Wily set his sinister plan into action, sending a copy of Hypnoman, disguised as a big fan/gentleman caller, who hypnotized Devil Woman into his devoted slave. Using the brainwashed robot mistress as his first and most powerful enforcer, Hypnoman began a rampage across the entire world to steal extremely powerful artifacts and fuel Wily's latest plan for world domination. Devil Woman sabotaged Dr. Cossac's attempts to help Megaman, before acting as the penultimate opponent, based in her castle in another dimension. Despite Megaman being aided by other powerful robot masters, Devil Woman, having absorbed a huge amount of energy, proved too strong. It was only by good fortune, that Megaman managed to defeat her, by using her own movie studios effects against her and striking her unexpectedly with an attack he copied from a disabled martial arts robot.

After the incident was resolved, it took months of work by the real Hypnoman to undo the coppy's brainwashing. Having been under the fake's control for so long, and repeatedly reinforced, Devil Woman was not easy to free. Once finally in control of herself again, Devil Woman felt disgusted at having been manipulated like a puppet. she immediately quit her job and started her own movie studio, using her recognition to immediately gain some popularity. while much smaller and lower budget, she works hard at her new job and is happy to finally have creative control to play the rolls she wants. It additionally turns out that she has developed feelings for Megaman, both in gratitude for him saving her, and admiration for him being able to defeat her...
She's just a Devil Woman, with Evil on her mind...

So this character has been a long time coming. Amazing what the movie industry can do. A character themed around illusion and deception but strong enough to pull off the most dangerous stunts. Some of you may recognize part of her backstory as common complaints at the film industry. Then again the thematic reference her character pulls may be obvious to long time Capcom fans.

I wana thank the totally awesome :iconsilverkazeninja: for art and inspiration and generally being awesome.
